Annecy

Annecy was everything Venice should have been, sunny, bright, easy to avoid the crowds and with Shyla finally feeling well again we were able to enjoy the canal town properly.

We parked outside of the town and walked along the pretty lakeside path to reach the old city.

We saw a number of angry looking swans in the beautiful canals.

The centre of the old town and the stereotypical image that comes to mind with annecy.

We asked a lady to take a photo for us but she didn't quite understand how the iPad worked and just held down the button for a while which resulted in about 50 million photos of the same thing but the first one was best so here it is!!

The medieval town was awesome, a fond memory for me, and an awesome introduction to France for Shyla.

Shyla quickly proclaimed she liked it even better than Venice, which was awesome as I was the one pushing to go to Anncey, so I felt like a successful tour guide!
