Emma's Last Day

Not too long after our awesome Easter weekend, things went downhill rather fast, and I quickly became jobless and homeless within the space of a few short days. However relying on the charity of friends and couch-hopping for a few weeks, I was soon up and running again. Getting my wallet stolen was another setback, but bad things happen in threes right? Its a new day, a new month and things can only improve from here.
Emma's last day in Valencia came all to quickly, but as her flight was an afternoon one, we decided to spend the morning wandering Valencia one last time.

We finally made it out to the City of Arts and Sciences - Valencia's most iconic infrastructure.

Strange and futuristic, it reminded me of an armadillo (you can't unsee it once you've thought it!)

We also discovered some beautiful flower gardens, with a panoply of roses.

We wandered under the Turia bridges, where I took this photo that reminded me a little of the computer game Myst.

We also finally made it out to Gulliver the poor giant, where he lies tied down with ropes for children to swing on. He is in fact, a giant playground.

Exploring the old streets of Valencia I captured a rare photo of Emma (she despises photos) and we agreed to get a least one photo of us together so we had something physical to look back on our awesome times in Spain. We took a great number of truly awful photos, but one or two came out not so terrible thankfully!
