A Trip to London (Again!)

 September 2019

Summer was now truly at its end, a fact heralded by the blackberries in the hedges on our walk home from work every day. Tart, but delicious.

We had another weekend trip planned, this time to London, for a very long awaited show indeed. We had booked tickets to see the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child when housesitting in Spain, but such was the demand that we had had to book the tickets for almost a year in advance.
No matter, the time was finally upon us! As you can see, we were very excited.

The Cursed Child is split into two parts, and we elected to see both on the same day, an afternoon and an evening showing, so this way we only needed to pay for one night in London.
We had booked a private room in a YMCA hostel, not being able to face a dorm, but still wanting something cheap.
Arriving at lunch time, we checked in, and headed off to one of our favourite eateries in the city, Bibimbap.

And then to the venue! It was incredibly exciting to finally see the show, and well worth the wait. The clever way they performed 'magic' on stage was just astounding, and I would highly recommend watching it if you ever have the chance.

We finished off with Grom of course, it was a tradition by now. How I miss this most excellent gelato!

And then before we knew it, we were heading back home, to Cardiff, after a wonderful weekend away.
